英譯漢，并非單純的琢磨英語新聞、雜志或者英語翻譯的書本里的單詞句型，反而更著重于中文刊物辭藻的考究，回歸中文語言特征，才是對英語翻譯起到最好的能力提升。

現(xiàn)代翻譯學認為，譯文與原文在意義上應(yīng)動態(tài)對應(yīng)，不要形式對等。因此，從原文的深層意義出發(fā)，英語句中的單詞、短語、習語，甚至整句，都可譯成相應(yīng)的漢語四字詞組。英譯漢的技巧中，非常重要的一點技巧便是四字詞組的頻繁應(yīng)用。例如：
